Miscellaneous Local Information

Computer access

In the math department, you can log into the machines in room 105C using the account name guest and into other machines using the account name guest2. The password will be given out in person.

There are no publically available computers at the London Delta Armouries where the conference is being held. We will have a couple of machines set up in the lecture room with dialup access, but these will be taken away in the evening. You can hook up your own machine to a phone jack in the lecture hall or in your guest room and connect to your own internet service provider; and for a fee you can activate a high-speed connection in your guest room.

Head2Head Games is located at 246 Dundas St, just a block to the west of the Delta. There you can use a computer for $4/hour, less if you bring your own computer or buy a block of 10 hours (which can be shared). There is also a Kinko's near the Delta, but their rates are much higher.

If you borrow a library card from a local, you can use the computers in the Central Library (right across from Head2Head) for free.

Travel within London

Buses 6 and 13 go along Richmond St. between downtown and campus. There are also buses labelled "University" and "Downtown" which do this. Included in your welcome package is a bus map.

Taxis: U-Need-A-Cab 438-2121 (metered), Checker 659-0400 (fixed rates).

The math department

The Math department is located on the first floor of Middlesex College, which is on the east side of campus and is the unique building on campus with a clock tower. Here is a campus map. We can be reached at 519 661-3638.
